This is a lovely customer of mine that had me make her a Bolero for her dress. I love it when the Brides send me photos of them all dressed up and ready to take that walk down the isle. These are the best shots of excited and pleasure as they are taking in their day. They should be so proud of themselves for all the work they do to make their day perfect. We all know it is about the Bride and Groom. As long as they are happy its a fantastic time for all. I pride myself in taking the time to make the alterations and custom products are done in a fashionable timeline and to their expectations.
On another Alteration note...
The past weekend was Mother's Day and my hubby and I took off on our bikes for a ride through the Distillery District. If you don't know what it is www.thedistillerydistrict.com . A lot of Weddings are performed there and then the photos are taken all around the grounds. Its a beautiful thing to watch. Except when you are a Seamstress. The first thing I do is look at how beautiful they are then "SOMETIMES" there are those bad fittings that pop up! It saddens me to see people spend the time to pick the dresses for their day and then have someone butcher the alterations and fitting them incorrectly. I am not perfect but I do know what I am doing and I work my hardest to make you look your best in your gowns. Whether you are the Bride or bridesmaids, you all are special in the group. Most people would not notice the imperfections but that's no excuse. If you are a seamstress please take pride in your work and it will pay off in the future for you and you will make someone's day brighter.
Cheers
Janet
